As founding and managing Partner, Richard has a passion for collaboration and service. Currently serving as Treasurer for the American Society for Indexing (ASI), Richard works closely with indexing software developers in the creation of new tools for the industry. In addition to daily indexing work, Richard has directed the implementation and improvement of online banking services within the company. He is building additional resources to develop government business and is working on structuring the company for continued international expansion. Richard lives and works near Washington, D.C. Mary Coe Mary has indexed hundreds of books and journals in a wide variety of topics over the past 15 years. She also has extensive experience with database indexing and has worked on the National Library of Medicine's Medline database since 2001. Mary's specialty is medical indexing. In addition to her indexing work, Mary has provided professional leadership through database and XML workshops. She is currently Secretary of the New South Wales Branch of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Indexers. Mary lives and works near Sydney, Australia. Seth Maislin Seth is a full-time consultant in taxonomy, information architecture, and indexing, and a well-respected instructor in all three fields. His subject specialties include computer/technical, science, management, consumer health, and general interest topics. Seth is proficient in the utilization and development of specialized tools editorial indexing, as well knowledgeable about automated tagging and classification techniques. He is a past-president of the American Society for Indexing. Seth lives and works near Boston, Massachusetts. Kay Schlembach
Kay has based her professional life on service, both to clients and the profession. Since 1996, she has indexed hundreds of books as well as managing the indexing process for dozens of projects as a Potomac Indexing partner. Large, multi-volume projects, particularly in elementary education, are a specialty, as well as business and professional books. For over a decade, Kay taught the acclaimed Practical Introduction to Indexing workshop, as well as serving for five years on the ASI Board of Directors. During her ASI service, Kay was instrumental in the development, adoption and implementation of the ASI Training in Indexing distance learning course. She works full-time as an indexer and project manager. Kay lives and works near Washington D.C. |
