Richard Shrout

As founding and managing Partner, Richard has a passion for collaboration and service. Currently a Director for the American Society of Indexers (ASI), Richard works closely with indexing software developers in the creation of new tools for the industry. In addition to daily indexing work, Richard recently represented the ASI in China as part of an international effort to develop tools to advance the indexing profession there. With over 25 years of experience running computer systems in federal libraries, Richard has focused on service to clients such as Microsoft and the federal government. Richard lives and works near Washington, D.C.

Mary Coe

Mary has indexed hundreds of books and journals in a wide variety of topics over the past 15 years. She also has extensive experience with database indexing and worked on the National Library of Medicine's Medline database since 2001. Mary's specialty is medical indexing. In addition to her indexing work, Mary has provided professional leadership through database and XML workshops. Mary lives and works near Sydney, Australia.

Seth Maislin

Seth is serving as the President of ASI through 2007. He is a full-time indexer, information architect and IA consultant, taxonomist, and instructor. In his 15-year career, specialties include teaching indexing and related topics, as well as indexing computer, technical, and general interest topics. Seth lives and works near Boston, Massachusetts.

Kay Schlembach

Kay has based her professional life on service, both to clients and the profession. Since 1996, Kay has indexed hundreds of books as well as teaching her acclaimed Basic Indexing workshop. She is a full-time indexer, ASI Director, and amateur naturalist. Her specialties include business and professional books, textbooks and books on general topics from allied health to zoology. Kay lives and works near Houston, Texas.
